Up-date on Hurricane Donations...
As of today, over $55,000.00 has been donated.

Our communities are so caring and so generous. We are pleased to report that our combined subsidiaries in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska disaster relief totals $55,000.00 and growing. The challenge now is even greater because of a second hurricane. So, the relief accounts will remain open. We are in touch with the American Red Cross weekly, and will keep in touch with you.

Hurricane Katrina!

    Because of your heartfelt response, Mountain Valley Bank, along with our Affiliates from Wyoming and Nebraska, have forwarded over $37,000.00 to the American Red Cross and other agencies for the aid of Katrina Survivors.  This dollar figure includes the matching accumulated total of $10,000.00 by Mountain Valley Bank and its affiliates.

   The rebuilding of their lives will take time,
and as a result, we will keep our Disaster
Relief accounts open for future donations. We are in contact with the Red Cross on a weekly basis, and we will keep you informed as needs arise.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Held July 22, 2004 for the Mountain Valley Bank-Hayden location.
Corporate President/CEO Terry Jost, President/COO Bruce Clatterbaugh, Chairman Hod Kosman, Director Don Valentine and other dignitaries were present for the groundbreaking ceremony of Mountain Valley Bank-Hayden.  Completion date for the construction of a new bank building at 101 North 6th Street in Hayden, CO is estimated to be December 1, 2004.  Until then the Mountain Valley Bank of Hayden is scheduled to open in a temporary facility on August 9, 2004 in the Hayden Mercantile Grocery Store.

Bruce Clatterbaugh, President and COO of Mountain Valley Bank-Meeker said, "We are very excited to become a part of the Meeker community as Mountain Valley Bank.  We are anxious to provide a full service bank offering consumer, mortgage, business and agricultural banking products and services.  Our pledge to you is the service you expect with the attention and respect you deserve!  We are currently opening in a module at 400 Main Street, Meeker, Co., but will move to our permanent facility sometimes this fall.  We are in the process of refurbishing the IOOF Hall in Meeker, that was built in 1896.  Please stop by or call 970-878-0103.


North Park Bancshares and the North Park State Bank-Walden acquisition became final on June 25, 2004
The acquisition of the Walden Bank became final.  Included with this was a new name.  The new banking organization in northwestern Colorado is called... Mountain Valley Bank.  Applications were also approved for full service bank locations in Hayden, Steamboat Springs and Meeker, CO.  The Mountain Valley Bank is operating with a local Colorado based board and management provided by Terry Jost and Bruce Clatterbaugh.  Chairman of the Mountain Valley Bank Board of Directors will be Hod Kosman.  Kosman is the Chairman, CEO & President of a financial organization with $395 million in assets, and operates banking, insurance, trust and brokerage organizations in Nebraska and Wyoming.

In The Process of Acquiring A Colorado Bank...

North Park State Bank announced that they have applied to significantly expand the markets which they serve.  Branch applications have been submitted for locations in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Meeker, Colorado.  Included in this expansion process will be a new name.  After the closing, the new organization will be known as Mountain Valley Bank.  It will operate with a local Colorado based board and management provided by Terry N. Jost in the Walden, Hayden and Steamboat Springs areas, and Bruce Clatterbaugh in the Meeker area.

Terry N. Jost has been banking for over 25 years.  Most of that time has been spent as owner and president of a community bank in the mid-west.  His most recent experience has been as a branch manager and commercial / agricultural and real estate lender in the Hayden community.

Bruce Clatterbaugh has 30 years of banking expereience with 19 of those serving the Meeker community as the Meeker President and senior lender in commercial / agricultural and real estate lending. 

Mountain Valley Bank expects to become the premier community banking organization in the Northwest Region of Colorado.  "We place a high priority on exceptional loan and deposit products, with convenient accessible financial services.  Products such as mortgage, home equity lines of credit, image checking, internet banking, and telephone banking will be available along with hometown commercial and agricultural lending.  We will provide our communities with the support they need and a commitment to service excellence!"
